Broccoli Rice Asiago Savory Pie

Dinner pie with broccoli, rice and lots of cheese.

  • 1/2 cup onion (finely minced)
  • 1/4 cup Molly McButter® Natural Butter Flavor Sprinkles
  • 1/4 cup fat free cream cheese
  • 1/4 cup Asiago cheese (shredded)
  • 1/2 tsp. dried thyme
  • 1 tsp. dried parsley
  • 1 cup skim milk
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup broccoli
  • 3/4 cup long grain rice (cooked)
  • vegetable oil spray


Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Spray a 9' (23cm) oven-safe glass pie dish with non-stick cooking spray. Spray a non-stick skillet with vegetable oil spray, cook onions over medium heat until lightly browned. Stir in 1 Tbsp. (15mL) Molly McButter®. Cook broccoli until crisp tender. Remove to large bowl, add cheeses and herbs. Blend in milk, lightly beaten eggs, remaining Molly McButter®, broccoli and cooked rice. Pour into prepared pie plate. Bake on center rack for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes, place under broiler for 5 minutes until slightly browned. Remove from oven and let set for 10 minutes before serving. Loosen outer edge before cutting.
