Buttery Lemon Brown Rice

A rice side with lemon flavor.

  • 1 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 2 Tbsp. Molly McButter® Natural Butter Flavor Sprinkles
  • 1 onion
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 1 cup brown rice
  • 2.25 cups chicken stock
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 2 tsp. grated lemon zest
  • 1/2 tsp. ground black pepper
  • fresh parsley (for garnish)


Finely chop onion and garlic. Heat oil and sauté onion and garlic in a medium nonstick saucepan over low heat, about 5 minutes or until soft. Add Molly McButter® and mix carefully. Add rice, stir to coat and add stock, lemon juice, lemon zest and pepper. Simmer covered for 25 minutes. Remove from heat. Make sure saucepan is tightly covered and let sit for approx. 20 minutes or until liquid has absorbed and rice is fluffy. Serve immediately, garnish with parsley.
